In 1919, Gavrilo Spaich, Sr. immigrated from the Balkans to the Santa Clara Valley where he planted his first prune orchard. This was the beginning of an abounding harvest that has been passed on through generations of the Spaich family.
From the very first seed, California Packing Company has grown and dedicated itself to produce nothing but the finest quality dried fruits available. Quality, integrity, and consistency resonates in both California Packing Company's services and in every item they pack.
Today, the business continues to be a family affair. The Spaichs have dedicated their lives to the California dried plum industry. Great care and experience go in to producing the finest quality prunes that are synonymous with the California Packing Company name.
